Rev. Ted and Ruth Brewer, who have ministered through New Peace
Network since 1995, are now joined by David and Judi Glidden
as the impact and reach of New Peace Network extends from
New England and the Northeast into California and
California and the West
Rev. Ted and Ruth Brewer have served as Directors of New Peace Network since 1995. After many years of leading New Peace Network from Nashua, NH, Ted and Ruth have relocated to Southern California and are extending the impact of this ministry to California and the West. Ted serves as Founding Director of New Peace Network.
Ted graduated with a B.A. from Amherst College (MA) and served in Vietnam with the U.S. Navy. Then he graduated with a Th. M. from Dallas Theological Seminary (TX) and was ordained to the ministry.
Ruth graduated with a B. S. from Cairn University (PA) and did post-graduate training at Temple University. During the 12-year period she served with the Society of International Ministries in Liberia and Nigeria teaching missionaries' children, Ruth lost her first husband, J. Boyce Beacham, who died of cancer.
Ted met Ruth during his first pastorate. They married and in the 18 ensuing years, Ted served as pastor and senior pastor in several multi-staff churches (independent community churches and a Conservative Baptist congregation) in the Midwest and New England.
Then in 1995 the Brewers followed God's call to found the New Peace Network. Since then they have received extensive training in Christian conciliation through Peacemaker Ministries and Ted has pursued additional training through the Woodstock Institute for Negotiation and the Academy of Family Mediators. They have been Certified Christian Conciliators (through Peacemaker Ministries) since 2000.
